[57North-Discuss] MQTT broker for doorbot

[Robert McWilliam]

Hi,

Doorbot<->hackhub comms currently uses free "serverless" MQTT broker from HiveMQ.

HiveMQ are going to be switching off that service at the end of December. So we will need to migrate to something else before then if we want the door to keep working.

I have been planning to move off this for a while (it wasn't great to be using a broker that only I could access). Maybe having a deadline will actually get me to do something.

Or does anyone else want to sort this out?

Robert
